Navigating Imposter Syndrome for HR Professionals
Together we'll learn what imposter syndrome is, what it isn't and why it's important to recognize how it shows up in ourselves and in employees within our organizations. Hosts Erin Brown and Meg McKeen will share their experiences with imposter syndrome in the workplace, both as individual contributors and in positions of leadership, along with practical steps for moving forward. Plan to leave this session knowing how you can empower both yourself and team members to navigate imposter syndrome.
Erin Brown is on a mission to empower managers to become the leaders they aspire to be. Having spent twelve years in the commercial insurance industry during which time she led multiple client service teams; Erin has personally navigated the ups and downs of transitioning from individual contributor to manager to leader. In her prior team leadership role, Erin coached emerging and first-time managers within her organization. Her personal leadership experience combined with her passion for personal growth and coaching new leaders inspired her to launch Lead Connext, a peer-driven leadership community and development platform for emerging, first-time and middle managers.
Meg McKeen A believer that there is a story within every story, Meg's career journey took a sharp left turn in 2017 when she exchanged a corporate j-o-b for a year of self-discovery. Following a year of adventure, she launched Adjunct Advisors LLC with the simple belief that the people that buy, and those that sell, insurance deserve a better experience. Meg now leverages her 20 years of industry experience and studies in the social sciences to change the way we interact with insurance through private coaching, workshop facilitation, and the podcast she hosts, Bound & Determined.
